I had this thought earlier. Blogs aren’t conversation, they are thoughts, because they aren’t vocalised and at the time of writing, no-one is listening / reading. Blog stats show who is accessing our thoughts. We can see which thoughts of ours are popular, comments allow people to directly connect with the owner of those thoughts.
I’ve never considered blogs in that way before… blogs are ‘thought’.. and blog stats are our thoughts measured. If your blog doesn’t have stats, then you’re missing out on the best bit of blogging.
I think this thought will change the way I explain blogs to people for ever more.
